We offer a wide array of equipment, but how can you make decisions on which model to choose? We’ll go into detail down below.
Whether you are baling to sell or baling to provide for your livestock, you’ll be able to find some benefits within these John Deere Balers. Plenty of choices allow for you to make decisions that will best elevate your operation. So what options do we offer?
As with any baler, you’ll have to choose between round bales or square bales. If you’re new to the game and haven’t yet decided, there are a few key differences you’ll need to consider. For example, are you storing your hay bales inside or outside? (Sidenote: if they’re stored outside, are they covered? If not, you might want to get a tarp to cover them to keep from rotting). Square bales are great for storing in smaller spaces because they can stack up against the wall of any barn. How large is your feeding crowd? Round bales store about 20 times more hay than regular square bales do, and are much easier to tow around with your tractor. Where are your livestock eating? Round hay bales work best outside because any rain or snow can drip off the edge, unlike square bales.
Hay bales can essentially last forever if they are managed perfectly, but most hay bales should be used within three years of harvest. If you are wanting to get the most out of your bales, be sure to contact us for some tips and tricks! We’ll be happy to help.
Our John Deere Mower Conditioners boost efficiency by covering more acres and offering simple tractor compatibility.
The standard pull-type mower conditioners produce high-quality hay through newer, redesigned technology. There are a couple of different options you can choose from, such as the pull. The S Series offers a side-pull while the C Series offers a center-pivot, making it easier to maneuver. You’ll also be able to choose the cutting width that best fits your tractor horsepower, and the conditioner that best fits your crops.
The Mount Mower Conditioners offer both front mounts and rear mounts, but what’s the difference in terms of operation? The front-mounts are typically easier to maneuver and are great for oddly-shaped fields with obstacles. The rear-mount mowers offer better traction and are good for tackling hills. They also are easier to pull in a straight line.
Each model offers simple maintenance and trusted reliability that will always keep you moving forward.
